The glam punk rock image was changed with the sound of Kate Jackson. She just kills the scene with her powerful song Weekend Without Makeup. The Long Blondes are out with their new album Couples. But this classic record will still be etched in the memory of their fans. They have sort of deviated with the new record. But the Someone to Drive which heralded with Kate Jackson voicing she would like to stay indoors and solicitation Scott Walker as a saint. The bass on these tracks are a riot thats all i can say.

This album is filled with some really powerful vocal melodies. They are laced with out of the blue old punk rock. Something that was totally missing in the scene women. Men had just filled this genre leaving no space until the Long Blondes blasted into the scene.

Another track with beautiful claps and the sound of the low base is the Giddy Stratospheres. The lyrics are really cheezy but it goes well with sound of Kate. It became a major hit on the charts. It was laced with another complimentary track called You Could Have Both. With Kate voicing lyrics of listening to Scott Walker in the bus. This is going to be an album that is going to wake up and make you fresh in the mornings.

But many of the tracks on this album dont match up to the strong tracks. But these strong tracks makes this album totally whole. So even the fillers sound good when you hear the whole album in full.
