This is a festival that is marked on every music lovers calender. It has taken various forms through the year. Few people have even called it one of the dirtiest festivals on the world. This is not to take anything from the great festival. It is synonymous in making and breaking peoples careers through the years. It has a history of making news in all its forms. This year there has been a scurry of firsts that has happened.
Firstly talk about the guy who was hit by Amy Winehouse. What more could have that guy asked for? Its like a dream for blokes to punch and lash out at each other but this time the artist lashed out and the fan loved it. But Amy has shown such resilience through all this. She seems to be getting it from all quarters. But she seems to not step down for her love of music. She impress every critic who thinks she is washed out. She is probably the modern day drugged out Rocky. Her set was simply fabulous and instantly set the tone for the whole show.
But coming away from Amy Wine there was another artist who was going to make a mark on this festival. His critics the loud mouthed Gallanger had said that it wont be dope for a Rap Artist to take to the stage of this total rocked out festival. But Jay-Z is no stranger to criticism. The guy has rocked out Madison Square for Petes Sake. What was the Oasis frontman thinking when he mouthed this to the press. Jay-Z walked to the stage and belted out the Oasis single Wonderwall to a thunderous roar. This is what I call slashing out. He then went on to sing a greatest hits collection of his best songs. This got the crowd to give him some loves with shout and catcalls. Jay-Z Man you rocked that show. Thank you for proving those nit pickers wrong.
The other great sets on the show were Duffy’s gorgeous Pop hit Mercy which was just voted the best song in Britain like forever. Another one was the closing act of Verve with the frontman belting out crowdpleasers with same gusto of his good times. Man this is one show everyone had a ball going for and also making history at the same time. For those of you forgot to get a fresh pair of pants you guys are the dope.

Have your say!
